Plus, weekly bonuses after 30 days of employment!Position: Maintenance MechanicLocation: Sauk Rapids, MN- will be at the St. Cloud location when needed Type: Full-time Direct Hire Hours: Monday- Friday 7:00am-3:00pm Pay: $25.89/hr. + weekly bonuses Job Summary:
Wiman is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Sauk Rapids, MN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks, diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production machinery.Responsibilities:

  • Specify equipment for upgrades and repairs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, dismantling, and cleaning of parts, overhead hoists, and conveyor belts.
  • Demonstrate general fabrication skills including welding, torch operations, and following simple blueprints.
  • Read and understand blueprints and wiring diagrams for diagnosing mechanical and electrical problems.
  • Disassemble and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, performing necessary repairs.
  • Install machines and troubleshoot without direct supervision.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and use approved safety equipment.
  • Follow Business Process Documentation and actively contribute to Continuous Improvement efforts.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on production machinery to minimize downtime.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintain effective working relationships.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand work instructions in English.
  • Knowledge of power tools.
  • Work effectively in a team.
  • Welding experience with ARC, MIG & TIG (a plus).
  • Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and ability to occasionally lift up to 70lbs.
  • Disassemble and diagnose equipment.
  • Ability to climb heights of 25ft or more.
  • Experience working with drill press, CNC lathe and mill.

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Two years’ experience as a mechanic/ maintenance preferably in manufacturing.
