Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Location: Barrington, RI

Salary: $35-$40/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $1500

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of industrial manufacturing machinery and facility systems. This role requires strong knowledge of motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and plumbing. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing equipment such as injection molding machines, CNC machinery, and performing building maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Assist with the installation of machinery, equipment, and production systems.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors for project completion.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production staff to improve equipment reliability.
  • Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Follow safety, regulatory, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively through various channels.
  • Support industry quality standards and certifications.
  • Maintain professionalism and teamwork.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Education, Skills & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certification a plus.
  • Experience in similar roles, especially in injection molding or CNC environments.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic instruments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work in noisy, hot, or variable conditions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and standing, bending, or sitting for extended periods.
  • Familiar with technical manuals and schematics.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.
  • Attention to detail, communication, and teamwork skills.
