We are seeking a Sheet Metal Lead to oversee production processes, support team members, and maintain a high standard of efficiency and craftsmanship in our operations.

Job Summary: The Sheet Metal Lead(1st -shift) is responsible for guiding production teams in sheet metal fabrication, ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards and optimizing workflow efficiency. This individual will lead daily operations, monitor quality control, and foster a culture of continuous improvement while supporting team development and training.

Responsibilities:

• Lead sheet metal fabrication processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and production goals.
• Provide hands-on support and mentorship to teammates, ensuring proper training and onboarding.
• Maintain a safe and efficient work environment, following all safety protocols.
• Monitor manufacturing workflows, identifying, and resolving bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
• Oversee documentation of standard work procedures, ensuring consistency in operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and management to improve production methods.
• Ensure proper use of D365 ERP system for tracking and reporting operations.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical challenges, helping teammates navigate complex fabrication tasks.
• Lead daily tier meetings, maintaining communication and coordination across teams.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication (leadership experience is preferred).
• Strong leadership abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials, and process documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft D365.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience working in a high-mix, low-volume production environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer applications.
