Job Title: Associate Director, External Manufacturing Lead (Remote)

Overview:

This role leads external manufacturing operations and partnerships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and compliant supply of commercial pharmaceutical products. The position is responsible for relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, supply planning, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned CMOs and manage performance, contracts, and supply execution
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver on supply chain objectives and resolve operational issues
• Develop and monitor manufacturing and cost plans; track budgets and KPIs
• Identify and mitigate supply risks; support business continuity efforts
• Foster innovation and continuous improvement with CMOs and internal teams
• Oversee contract compliance and support quality, legal, and regulatory requirements
• Use data and reporting tools to evaluate performance and support decision-making

Qualifications:

• Experience in managing CMOs or external manufacturing within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or supply chain environment
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance
• Background in supply planning, risk management, and cost control
• Skilled in data analysis, performance reporting, and contract oversight
• Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP) preferred
• Global manufacturing experience is a plus
