Job summary

Confluent Medical Technologies in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Manufacturing Lead for the 2nd shift to guide the designated manufacturing areas. You will oversee daily staffing, set production priorities, and provide work direction to the team on the production floor.

The role requires GMP compliance, safety, and continuous improvement. You will mentor workers, maintain accurate records, troubleshoot processes, and support cross-functional teams to meet delivery and quality targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years of related experience or leadership training.
• Medical device manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing instructions and quality documents.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Lead to join our team in Chattanooga, TN.

As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:

• Serve as the designated Team Lead for assigned manufacturing areas during 2nd Shift operations.
• Coordinate daily staffing assignments and production priorities while fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Provide work direction and support to manufacturing personnel.
• Assist with onboarding, training, and cross-training of employees.
• Monitor production performance and communicate priorities throughout the shift.
• Escalate safety, quality, equipment, and staffing concerns as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Support troubleshooting of process and equipment issues.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Facilitate effective shift pass-down communication.
• Promote a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Perform manufacturing operations and support activities as needed to meet production requirements.
• Will serve as a key resource on the production floor helping drive safety, quality, delivery and productivity objectives while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; 5 or more years of related experience and/or leadership training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AA degree a plus. Medical device or medical products experience preferred.

• Demonstrate a mechanical aptitude when working with equipment and tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
• Ability to work 2nd Shift and overtime as required
• Familiarity with SDS documents and safety procedures
• Ability to use and read a variety of measuring devices (e.g., calipers, micrometers, pin gages)
