Job summary

Keywell L.L.C. is seeking a General Laborer to support daily operations in a metals recycling and processing facility. You will sort and process scrap metal, assist with equipment operation, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable in an industrial setting with heavy materials and machinery. Training across facility categories will be provided for skill development and advancement.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, standing, bending).
• Able to follow instructions and safety protocols.
• Willingness to complete several months of on-the-job training across facility categories.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Sort, inspect, and separate scrap metal materials by type and grade.
• Load and unload materials using hand tools or equipment.
• Assist with operating processing machinery (shears, balers, shredders, etc.).
• Perform general yard duties including cleaning, organizing, and material staging.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.
• Identify and remove contaminants or non-conforming materials.
• Support inventory control and material tracking as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Comfortable working in outdoor and industrial environments (heat, cold, noise, dust)

Work Environment

This position operates in a metals recycling facility that processes titanium using specialized equipment and technology. The environment includes exposure to heavy machinery with moving parts, loud noise, dust, outdoor and humid conditions (especially in summer), and high temperatures during warmer months. Protective clothing and equipment (including safety shoes) are required at all times.
