Job summary

VMRD, Inc. in Pullman, WA is seeking a Manufacturing Lab Assistant to support manufacturing technologists in producing veterinary diagnostic products. You will perform routine laboratory tasks, maintain accurate documentation, and follow quality and safety procedures.

The role involves labeling, autoclaving, aseptic technique, calibration, and preparing reagents, with a focus on reliability and teamwork in a fast-paced lab.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related life science preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, laboratory, or regulated environment preferred.
• Familiarity with aseptic technique preferred.
• Experience following SOPs and GMP is a plus.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Follows all policies, SOPs, and procedures.
• Packages and labels products according to established procedures.
• Performs autoclaving, dishwashing, and lab cleaning procedures.
• Adheres to aseptic technique during lab procedures.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of work.
• Calibrates, operates, and maintains laboratory equipment.
• Initiates document changes and develops new documentation.
• Prepares laboratory reagents.
• Runs and manufactures IFA assays and related reagents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
