Manufacturing Lab Assistant, SC1CAMANUBUS (SU25)

Student Worker Eligibility:

• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
• If a student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the manufacturing program by supporting instructors and the program coordinator.
• Maintain equipment in the manufacturing lab.
• Provide inventory and organizational assistance in material control.
• Provide basic CNC operation of assigned parts to support educational activities.

Qualifications:

• Education
• This is a student job.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above; GPA requirement waived for first semester students.
• Manufacturing major is preferred.

• Experience
• Enthusiasm, professionalism, and organizational skills required.
• Experience in material handling and basic manufacturing processes, including operation of shop machines, required.
• Exhibit shop safety and basic machine operation skills required.
