Job summary

The Institute for Performance and Learning seeks a dynamic Learning & Development / Training Manager to lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of employee and leadership development programs. This is an on-site role based in Lancaster, CA, with occasional travel to Pasadena; remote work is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Organizational Development or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for leadership roles.
• Professional certifications (ATD, CPTD, or similar) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business goals (technical, compliance, leadership).
• Oversee multiple concurrent training programs and prioritize by business needs.
• Design and facilitate programs that grow skills from front-line to supervisors and emerging leaders.
• Create Train-the-Trainer programs for production environments to ensure knowledge transfer.
• Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design to produce engaging content.
• Measure training impact and ROI using analytics and data-driven improvements.
• Oversee LMS content, user engagement, tracking, and reporting.
• Deliver high-impact live and virtual training sessions with strong facilitation.
