Job summary

MP Materials is seeking a Learning and Development Manager for Mountain Pass, CA. This full-time role will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of training programs across departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

You will own the MP Magnetics Learning Development Program and integrate it into our Business Operating Systems. The ideal candidate has strong communication, adult learning knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience in training coordination or related roles in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of learning principles and instructional design methods.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LMS platforms.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours to accommodate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a training and competency matrix across functions.
• Lead and organize new employee orientation.
• Own and manage the MP Magnetics Learning Management System (LMS).
• Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and develop plans.
• Design, develop, and update training materials and resources.
• Coordinate training sessions, venues, and equipment.
• Facilitate training sessions and engage participants.
• Maintain records of training activities and evaluations.
• Document training plans and competency criteria.
