Job summary

Corning invites an eager Digital & IT Intern, Analyst to the Wilmington Manufacturing Plant for Summer 2027. You will partner with Manufacturing IT, engineering, and operations to understand onsite needs and contribute to software and solution development.

You’ll gain hands-on experience through meaningful projects, weekly tech talks, and networking opportunities, with housing and travel assistance and a final project presentation.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in IT, CS, IS, data science, or engineering-related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Understand onsite development needs with Manufacturing IT, engineering, and operations.
• Support development or enhancement of software, interfaces, or technical solutions for plant processes.
• Assist with requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, and implementation activities.
• Help troubleshoot technical issues and identify practical improvement opportunities.
• Document technical requirements, solution designs, testing results, and support procedures.
• Participate in project planning, status reporting, and team collaboration.
• Apply academic knowledge to real-world manufacturing and operational challenges.
• Communicate project progress, outcomes, and recommendations clearly.
