Job description

Manufacturing Inventory Specialist - MRO Clerk - 2nd Shift (2pm-10pm)

Responsibilities:

  • Assign incoming maintenance work orders to appropriate resources
  • Enter maintenance work orders when necessary
  • Constant follow up of high priority purchases to ensure timely delivery of parts
  • Communicate arrival of purchases to appropriate requestor in a timely manner
  • Work with parts vendors and escalate high priority purchases accordingly
  • Utilize out of the box thinking to obtain high priority parts when not readily available at vendors
  • Verify incoming purchases to purchase order to ensure correct parts / material was received
  • Load and maintain E-Maintenance Database
  • Employ Kanban system of Maintenance parts / materials to monitor and maintain MRO inventory levels
  • Establish, purchase and maintain plant critical spare parts and lists
  • Help maintain housekeeping and appearance of the assigned MRO areas
  • Analyze purchases and flag / identify repeat purchases as a potential problem
  • Weekly review of plant floor machine part cabinet to ensure inventory is accurate
  • Generate daily reports utilizing Shoplogix and identify top 3 downtime
  • Daily audit of open and closed work orders and report accordingly
  • Publish schedule at start of the week to communicate PMs due that week
  • Daily audit of open and closed PM and report accordingly
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor and/or department manager
  • Must be available to work overtime when needed
  • Maintain MRO 5s at all times

  • Ability to read and write English and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects and tasks
  • Ability to get along with coworkers and work in a team environment
