Matrix designs is seeking a Manufacturing Intern for a 2027 Summer Internship at our home office in Newburgh, IN. You will assist the manufacturing team across multiple facets of production in a collaborative, team-based environment.

We offer paid internship with valuable hands-on experience, focusing on productivity improvements, safety, and documentation. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires ability to work independently in a warehouse/office setting.

• Enrolled in a degree or diploma seeking program. Preferably in Engineering.
• Abilities in MS Office and other analytical and planning tools.
• Have the ability to work independently.

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Intern for a 2027 Summer Internship. The Manufacturing Intern will be assisting the manufacturing team in every facet of manufacturing and will leave this position with invaluable skills and industry knowledge. This position works in a team environment at our home office in Newburgh, IN. This is not a remote position. This is a paid internship.

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Duties and responsibilities

• Improve productivity by performing evaluations and time studies.
• Study and improve plant safety.
• Process documentation.
• Taking inventory.
• Materials inspection.
• Quality Control.
• Assist in Warehouse when needed.

Working conditions

• There will be time spent in a general office environment as well as working in the warehouse. The warehouse working environment can be a hazardous one. Care should be taken to avoid injuries from handling materials improperly, falls or deaths from inappropriately placed items, or exposure to improperly handled combustible or hazardous chemicals. Safety is vital in the warehouse environment.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than one hundred pounds.
