Job summary

Hilmar Cheese Company offers a 10-week paid internship that enriches skills and sparks innovation. Interns work on meaningful projects in our Hilmar, CA facilities, gaining exposure to real business situations alongside seasoned colleagues.

Participants will visit dairy sites, engage in community projects, and have opportunities to learn from senior leaders about how we create wholesome dairy products and services that improve lives worldwide.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a sophomore pursuing a degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Business, Food Science, Dairy Science, or Ag Management/Science.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Support improvement projects in a cheese or whey production environment.
• Identify opportunities to reduce production costs for a product or line.
• Analyze waste causes in manufacturing processes and propose corrective actions.
• Develop standard work processes to implement and sustain improvements.
