Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group seeks a Manufacturing Intelligence Engineer - SCADA to join the Information Solutions team. You will lead projects across multiple industries, focusing on SCADA, MES, IoT, data collection, reporting, and analytics to solve real-world operational problems.

The role requires 3+ years in system integration, Ignition, Aveva Wonderware, and Rockwell environments, with strong SQL and MES experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years of System Integration, SCADA and/or MES development.
Experience with Ignition is required; certification is a plus.
Experience with Aveva Wonderware System Platform software is a plus.
Familiarity with Rockwell PLCs and Rockwell FactoryTalk.
Strong SQL skills and experience with MES software (Sepasoft, Aveva).
Understanding of manufacturing compute hardware, virtualization, OS, networking, and databases.

Responsibilities

Lead technical project execution within Information Solutions, delivering on schedule with quality and client satisfaction.
Interface with clients to define and manage scope on complex projects requiring technical and leadership skills.
Plan project timelines and coordinate with Project Managers for proper execution.
Collaborate with engineers across disciplines on large projects, including greenfield manufacturing design and software systems.
Design SCADA systems with databases, data handling, reporting, and scripting (VB, Python).
Lead onsite startup of systems you designed and implemented.
Configure industrial control packages for manufacturing use within constraints.
Develop project plans and commissioning strategies for multiple scopes.
Communicate with stakeholders to understand scopes and deliverables.
