Manufacturing Installation Mechanic with 50% travel and GREAT benefits!

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Permanent Manufacturing Installation Mechanic to join our fast-growing team in the Engineering industry. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a role that offers variety and challenge in equal measure. The successful candidate will be involved in a range of critical tasks, including complete rebuilds, equipment installation, customer training, power transmission, material handling, reading schematics, safety, and forklift operation. With a minimum of 5+ years of experience in the field, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete rebuilds of manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of complex industrial equipment, following established safety procedures.
• Conduct comprehensive customer training sessions to ensure the effective use and maintenance of our machinery.
• Oversee power transmission systems, ensuring efficient and safe operation at all times.
• Manage material handling processes, including the safe and efficient operation of forklifts.
• Read and interpret schematics to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Adhere to and promote strict safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all team members.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to junior team members, contributing to their professional development.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Installation Mechanic or similar role in the Engineering industry.
• Proficient in complete rebuilds, equipment installation, customer training, power transmission, material handling, schematics, safety, and forklift operation.
• Exceptional ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in the manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively train customers and team members.
• Proven track record of problem-solving and troubleshooting in a manufacturing setting.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work in physically demanding conditions.
