Job summary

Chesapeake Search Partners is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a manufacturing company. The role is hands-on, balancing strategic initiatives with daily HR operations in a production setting.

You'll partner with senior leadership and Operations to support workforce planning, employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and engagement, while ensuring OSHA compliance and HRIS administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business admin, or related field.
• 7+ years HR experience with leadership in manufacturing.
• Experience with employee relations, recruiting, and compliance.
• Proficient with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Capable of balancing strategic and hands-on operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day HR operations while balancing strategic initiatives with hands-on execution.
• Partner with senior leadership to align HR with business objectives and manufacturing needs.
• Develop and coach HR team members.
• Oversee employee relations, investigations, and performance management.
• Support recruiting and onboarding for manufacturing staffing.
• Develop HR policies and programs on benefits, compensation, engagement, training, and talent management.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• Oversee HRIS administration and reporting.
• Partner with safety on OSHA compliance, training, and incident prevention.
• Analyze workforce trends, turnover, attendance, and HR metrics for improvement.
• Maintain a visible presence within the facility and build relationships with staff and leadership.
• Lead HR projects supporting growth and continuous improvement.
