Job summary

Gables Search Group is seeking a Human Resources Manager to serve as a strategic partner to the manufacturing plant leadership team. This role leads HR initiatives, builds a high-performance culture, and aligns HR programs with operational goals.

The successful candidate will guide employee relations, staffing, onboarding, compensation, benefits, and training, while ensuring compliance with federal and South Carolina laws. Manufacturing experience and Workday proficiency are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field (required).
• Experience: 10+ years in HR with 3+ in supervision or management (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of HR laws (federal and SC) and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site operations leaders to design proactive employee relations programs.
• Develop and execute strategies to attract, hire, and retain talent across levels.
• Lead staffing and recruitment including manpower planning and full-cycle recruiting.
• Oversee onboarding processes: background checks, drug screenings, offers, paperwork, orientation.
• Maintain HR systems and payroll records; manage leaves and policy compliance.
• Conduct investigations and guide management on issue resolution.
• Lead training, performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Administer corrective action processes aligned with company values.
• Collaborate with Corporate HR on communications, compensation, benefits, and policy development.
• Manage local compensation programs and wage rate administration.
• Support benefits administration and respond to inquiries.
• Collaborate with cross-site HR teams on projects and initiatives.
• Provide leadership to HR staff including coaching and performance reviews.
• Organize and oversee employee engagement and recognition events.
