Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking an entry-level Human Resources Generalist to provide front-line HR support for hourly and salaried employees in a manufacturing setting.

You will partner with staff, supervisors, and plant leadership to support employee relations, staffing, onboarding, and HR reporting, while ensuring compliance and confidentiality. This role includes second-shift availability and opportunities to contribute to safety and workforce administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or related field.
• 1–3 years of HR, employee support, recruiting, administration, leadership, customer service, or manufacturing support.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn HR systems and reporting tools.
• Willingness and ability to work a second-shift schedule

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line HR support for hourly and salaried employees.
• Assist with staffing, onboarding, compliance, workforce administration, employee relations, and HR reporting.
• Support compliance with employment laws, policy adherence, records retention, and audits.
• Coordinate safety, leave, and accommodation processes with HR leadership and stakeholders.
• Support job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communications, and pre-employment processes.
• Participate in recruiting events and school/community outreach as needed.
