Job summary

U.S. Cotton, LLC in Belmont, NC seeks a Production Material Handler to ensure a continuous supply of raw materials for up to eight machines and to set up all supplies needed to begin production. You will weigh and document scrap, assist with daily paperwork, and help maintain a clean, safe work area.

The role requires basic math, adequate English, and the ability to operate powered industrial equipment; lifting up to 30 pounds is involved. Reports to the Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Adequate English skills as well as basic math skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain required levels of raw materials at all times for up to eight machines.
• Set up all the supplies needed to begin production.
• Wrap all completed skids, remove trash and recycle from the designated section.
• Keep coil bins neat and rotated, return empty coil barrels to the card room.
• Keep area safe and clean, weigh and document scrap, recycle, and bulk materials.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and required documentation.
• Assist other positions within the department as needed.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Complete special projects and/or assignments as directed by the lead or supervisor.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

To ensure that all machine operators are continuously supplied with raw materials needed to continue running production.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
