Job summary

prattexternalcareersite is seeking a Machine Helper to support the Machine Operator and other helpers in running production machines, including setup, operation, cleanup, and process improvements. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with preference for packaging industry experience and at least 6 months in manufacturing.

Candidate must be able to read factory masters, measure with a tape, and apply basic math. Lift Truck license may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior packaging industry experience preferred.
• 6 months experience in manufacturing operations.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy; basic math.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Train and assist First and Second Helpers with job duties.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete reports: Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders; be proactive in equipment upkeep.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements.
