Qualifications

  • One year of direct team supervisory experience or at least 5 months as an internal GM per diem group leader.
  • Experience solving complex problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with conflict management.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Word, typing, email).
  • Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Analyze and adjust daily manufacturing plans; manage manpower allocation to maintain production flow.
  • Lead continuous improvement and lean practices to reduce Safety, Quality, Throughput and Cost.
  • Develop and maintain Throughput Improvement Process action sheets; lead corrective and preventive actions.
  • Enforce TA1 quality requirements and ensure safety and compliance.
  • Coach and mentor team members; conduct disciplinary interviews and manage grievances with union partners.
  • Locate and analyze operational data to support accountability and improvements.

This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Detroit, Michigan on a full-time basis.The Role:The Maintenance Group Leader will be responsible for leading a group of skilled, hourly workers to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes. This position requires the ongoing application and enforcement of the National and Local UAW Agreements.
