Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking a Financial Analyst III in Sunnyvale, CA to support the monthly close for manufacturing operations, analyze variances, and maintain standard costing and inventory reporting. Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly financial close for manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate reporting of inventory, COGS, and manufacturing expenses.
• Analyze variances (PPV, material usage, direct labor, overhead, scrap) and provide commentary on manufacturing performance.
• Support standard costing activities and annual standard cost updates.
• Reconcile inventory balances across raw materials, WIP, finished goods, and third-party locations.
• Perform inventory reserves analysis (E&O, slow-moving, at-risk inventory).
• Prepare and analyze cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve variances.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Accounting on cost drivers and reporting.
• Develop financial models for new product introductions, sourcing initiatives, and manufacturing transfers.
• Prepare recurring financial and manufacturing reports highlighting trends, risks, and savings opportunities.
• Assist in audits and drive automation of data-intensive month-end processes.
