Job summary

Modern Industries, Inc. is seeking an engineering support professional to provide technical and engineering support for building and production equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities include tenant improvements, new construction, equipment installations, and building repairs. You will draft and maintain technical documentation for buildings, utilities, and equipment, including architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC drawings; support audits; and drive infrastructure upgrades

Qualifications

  • 1-5 years in technical/engineering support in architecture, construction, facilities or manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Engineering or related STEM field required.

Responsibilities

  • Support internal audits and inspections by ensuring documentation is accurate and organized.

Description

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform technical and engineering support functions related to building and production equipment maintenance, with responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Providing engineering and technical support for tenant improvement projects, new construction, equipment installations, and building repairs.
  • Identifying, prioritizing, and communicating recommendations for facility improvements with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Participating in and leading projects related to equipment upgrades, relocations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Drafting and maintaining technical documentation and procedures for buildings, utilities, and equipment, including:
  • Architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC drawings.
  • Supporting internal audits and inspections by ensuring that documentation is accurate and properly organized.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints and plans.
  • General knowledge of building construction and mechanical systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Design Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidEdge, Solidworks, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • General computer proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to interpret compliance documents, engineering reports, and technical specifications.
  • Awareness of occupational hazards and adherence to standard safety practices.

Education and Experience:

  • 1-5 years or of experience in a technical or engineering support role in architecture, construction, facilities maintenance, or mechanical design-preferably within a manufacturing plant or industrial environment.
  • Bachelors/Associates degree in Engineering, or related STEM discipline (Architecture, Building Construction, Manufacturing, etc.) Required
