Job summary
General Stamping & Metalworks is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Tomah, WI to safely evaluate machine issues and complete repairs to keep production running. The role requires supporting preventive maintenance, following SOPs, and collaborating with Plant Manager and engineers.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least 1 year of manufacturing maintenance experience, and basic math skills.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required and maintenance experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of mechanic experience in manufacturing encouraged.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with safety practices are expected.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform machine maintenance and repairs, ensuring needed supplies are available.
- Follow SOPs, work with OEM support, and interpret schematics to restore equipment.
- Maintain uptime by executing preventive maintenance and documenting work in CMMS.
- Communicate safety issues immediately with Plant Manager and supervisors.
- Assist in installation, training, and start-up of equipment when needed.
