ACME is a well-established and growing provider of highly-engineered, mission-critical components and services that facilitate the production, storage and distribution of cryogenic gases used in a diverse set of applications. We supply engineered components such as valves, regulators, vacuum jacketed piping, fittings, safety devices, liquified natural gas fueling components and other specialty flow control devices.

Schedule: Core business hours Monday - Friday; must be flexible to come in early and stay late based on business needs, with overtime currently needed

Travel: No current traveling required outside of Allentown, PA; potentially in the future to set up maintenance across other facility sites

Qualifications:

  • An advanced degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field plus five years of related experience, or other equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Lean business principles, experience in equipment related IT (CNC, CAD/CAM, Digital Twin, …) and Automation.
  • Demonstrated experience participating in site consolidation projects.
  • Experience with contract maintenance for plant resources. (Machines, equipment, etc.)

Responsibilities:

  • Executes all investment, development and maintenance activities at the site related to facilities (buildings, grounds, site infrastructure, production infrastructure, etc.), chemical cleaning process, machinery, and equipment.
  • Monitors cost estimates and development requests as well as projects for the construction of machinery and equipment.
  • Prepares budget plan, plans all required capacities under consideration of external services.
  • Develops and implements a sustainable preventive maintenance program, and emphasis on the improvement of the operational safety and process stability of all equipment and machinery. Does this under consideration of legal requirements, the required process capability, increase of equipment availability, increase of optimal use of life cycle of equipment and machines, optimization of operation processes under consideration of lean management criteria, reduction of breakdowns, proactive planning of costs.
  • Develops in dialogue with VS Managers and the CI Leader to support and drive continuous improvement throughout the site.

Maintenance:

  • Ensures sustainability of adherence to preventive and corrective maintenance measures.
  • Ensures pro-active planning, cost monitoring and proper execution of maintenance measures, down times and revisions.
  • Initiates and conducts quality controls and acceptance of repair measures. Prepares and optimizes maintenance plans with respect to safety, effectiveness, practicability and correctness.
  • Coordinates and approves all internal and external services (maintenance technicians, suppliers, etc.) in the execution of maintenance measures.
  • Develops a process concerning the procurement of standard spare parts and ensures its adherence.

Facility Management & Infrastructure:

  • Ensures reliable and economical availability of site infrastructure and production infrastructure at the site.
  • Based on a factory layout plan, manage the development of infrastructures and buildings.
  • Negotiates in cooperation with site management and purchasing the supply of energy to ensure efficient and economical utility supply from external services.

EHS:

  • Ensures adherence to legal laws and internal regulations.
  • Partners closely with EHS to prioritize facility related EHS initiatives.
  • Develops improvement concepts and/or improves already existing directives in close cooperation with EHS and ensures implementation of those concepts throughout the facility.
