Job summary

Kaney Inc. is seeking an Expeditor to support daily manufacturing operations and ensure jobs, materials, and documentation move efficiently through the facility.

The role collaborates with Production, Materials, Quality, and Shipping to keep orders on schedule, expedite priority work, and provide warehouse support as needed. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced precision environment.

Qualifications

• The candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations support.
• Experience using an ERP/MRP system and ability to read production orders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production schedules and expedite jobs to meet delivery commitments.
• Track work orders through manufacturing operations and flag delays.
• Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize hot jobs and expedites.
• Stage and move materials to support production flow.
• Update ERP with work order status, completions, and inventory transactions.
• Verify materials, routers, and travelers accompany each job.
• Communicate schedule changes to Operations and Customer Service.
• Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
• Assist Receiving, Shipping, and Warehouse during peak periods.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment or obtain certification.
• Maintain organized warehouse and production staging areas.
• Release and manage production work orders within the ERP system.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives on scheduling efficiency.
