Job summary

BLOX is seeking an analytical, data-driven Estimator/Data Analyst to support and evolve our DMC platform. This role blends estimating, advanced analytics, and cost modeling to deliver scalable cost intelligence across design, manufacturing, and construction.

You will develop COGS estimates for healthcare and commercial projects, build estimation databases, and leverage AI and data tools to improve accuracy and efficiency, collaborating with Design, Manufacturing, Construction, Supply Chain, and

Qualifications

• Strong experience in estimating, cost analysis, or data analytics within construction, manufacturing, or related industries.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, CAD, Revit, or SolidWorks models.
• Strong understanding of cost modeling, scheduling, and financial analysis.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Python, SQL, or data modeling tools.
• Knowledge of AI/ML, statistical modeling, or data engineering concepts.
• Familiarity with modular construction or design build environments.
• Experience with BI tools and data visualization platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost of goods sold (COGS) estimates for healthcare and commercial projects.
• Build and maintain estimating databases, including Bills of Materials and historical cost data.
• Leverage data analytics, AI, and modeling tools to improve estimating accuracy and efficiency.
• Partner with Design, Manufacturing, Construction, Supply Chain, and Finance teams to align cost, schedule, and risk.
• Prepare estimates across all phases (conceptual, schematic, design development, GMP).
• Analyze project risks, pricing strategies, and value engineering opportunities.
• Support procurement strategy through vendor and subcontractor collaboration.
• Ensure seamless handoff from estimating to operations with clear documentation.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations, and client facing discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and performance metrics.
