Job summary

ANDRITZ AG seeks a detail-oriented Manufacturing Estimator to support Spokane service shop operations. You will develop labor, material, and outsourcing estimates while aligning with project scope, budgets, and timelines.

Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Shop teams to plan and execute complex service and repair work, review specifications, and obtain supplier quotations. Emphasis on safety, quality, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, machining, or service shop environment is desirable.
• Prior experience in estimating, quoting, procurement, or technical project support is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate labor, material, and outsourcing cost estimates during the proposal phase.
• Support estimate revalidation and cost tracking during execution.
• Ensure alignment with project scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Review specifications, drawings, and quality requirements to define scope and develop manufacturable solutions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to define scopes of work and obtain quotations.
• Support supplier selection based on cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
• Interface with customers during quoting and execution phases, addressing technical and commercial inquiries.
• Provide updates and clarification to support customer satisfaction and alignment.
• Partner with Sales, Engineering, and Shop teams to support planning and execution of complex service and repair work.
• Identify risks and cost drivers early to support successful job execution.
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, supplier inputs, and revisions.
• Support post-job reviews to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy, cycle time, and cost competitiveness.
• Contribute to standardization of estimating processes and best practices.
• Assist with cost evaluations related to maintenance activities and capital investment initiatives.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture in all aspects of estimating, planning, and shop operations.
