About The Role
We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Manufacturing Estimator to join our team in Tyrone, GA. The role is full‑time and onsite. Compensation is $65‑85K per year. In this position you’ll be responsible for building accurate, competitive quotes across machining, fabrication, stamping, and welding projects.
You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and customers to turn technical drawings into clear, data‑driven cost estimates. If you enjoy problem‑solving, working with numbers, and being at the center of how projects come together, this is a great opportunity to make an impact.
What You’ll Do
- Develop accurate cost estimates for machining, fabrication, stamping, and welding projects.
- Review engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine materials, labor, and processes.
- Define manufacturing methods, routing steps, set‑up/run times, and tooling requirements.
- Prepare detailed quotes including materials, outside services, and lead times.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and purchasing to validate costs.
- Communicate with customers to clarify project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain estimating templates, quote logs, and cost data for consistency.
- Support production by helping translate awarded quotes into process plans.
- Analyze completed jobs versus estimates to improve accuracy and efficiency.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in estimating or manufacturing engineering.
- Background in metal stamping, machining, fabrication, or welding.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (JobBOSS a plus).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple quotes and deadlines concurrently.
- Nice to have: Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
- Knowledge of outside processing (plating, coating, heat treat, etc.).
- Familiarity with material utilization, nesting, or multi‑process estimating.
- Experience with post‑job cost analysis and continuous improvement.
