Job summary

LeClaire Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing ERP & Engineering Specialist to bridge engineering, production, sales, purchasing, and accounting through our ERP. You will build and maintain the engineering data (parts, BOMs, routings) and own the accuracy of job costs, WIP, and inventory.

It’s a hands-on role with real ownership on the shop floor and in the numbers. You’ll troubleshoot ERP processes, support upgrades, and develop reports and dashboards for visibility.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing ERP system.
• Background in manufacturing or production engineering.
• Solid grasp of Quote-to-Cash workflows with BOMs, routings and revisions.
• Comfort with job costing, WIP, inventory transactions, and variances.
• A sharp analytical eye and root-cause thinking.
• Strong communication and ability to juggle priorities.

Responsibilities

• Keep quoting, order entry, scheduling, purchasing, shipping, and invoicing running in the ERP system.
• Troubleshoot transaction and process issues, and partner across Sales, Production, Purchasing, Shipping, and Accounting to fix them.
• Build reports, queries, and dashboards for better visibility.
• Support ERP upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement projects.
• Create and maintain part numbers, revisions, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing methods.
• Develop manufacturing processes and operation sequences, and help estimate labor, material, and subcontract needs.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes, and validate setup/costing before release to production.
• Analyze job costs, WIP, and variances — and own getting period-end right.
• Compare estimated vs. actual labor, material, and burden costs, and dig into discrepancies.
