Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS is seeking an Equipment Technician in Dalton, GA to perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and support production timelines. The role requires handling machine parts, disassembly and reassembly, and adherence to safety protocols in a fast-paced plant.

You will troubleshoot malfunctions, use basic tools, and work with jacks, chain falls and other equipment to ensure equipment reliability and uptime on swing shifts. Training and safety are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience with machine parts.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions.
• Discipline to complete tasks on time.
• Excellent time management to meet deadlines.
• Ability to handle basic tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions.
• Explain maintenance procedures for pumps (reciprocating, centrifugal, vane).
• Able to work in fast-paced, non-climate-controlled areas.
• Assertive, cope with pressure, team player.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness of machines and components using hose, air guns, IPA, cloths and vacuum.
• Disassemble machines and replace or repair parts with chain falls, hand tools and jacks.
• Identify defective parts and advise on repair requirements to supervisors.
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts per production specs.
• Apply adhesives, lubricants, or other materials to machines per procedures.
• Reassemble machine parts after maintenance and repair.
• Remove hardened material from machines using appropriate tools.
• Adhere to Hanwha Q CELLS policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
