Job summary

Hanwha Q CELLS is seeking an Equipment Technician in Dalton, GA to perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and ensure production timelines are met. Swing shift, 12-hour schedule with nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

The role emphasizes adherence to safety and standard operating procedures while supporting maintenance teams. The technician will disassemble, inspect, repair, replace and realign machine parts, ensuring equipment operates within quality standards and production

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience handling machines and parts.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions.
• Discipline to complete tasks without procrastination.
• Excellent time management and ability to follow orders promptly.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of machines and components using hoses, air guns, IPA, cloths and vacuum.
• Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement using tools.
• Inspect broken parts and advise on repair requirements to supervisors.
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories per specs.
• Apply adhesives, lubricants, or materials per procedures.
• Reassemble machine parts after maintenance and repair.
• Remove hardened material from machines using power/hand tools and other appliances.
• Follow Hanwha Q CELLS policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Equipment Technician

Reports to: Equipment Manager

Location: Dalton, GA

Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours)

Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

SUMMARY

The Equipment Technician is responsible for the preventive maintenance on equipment used in manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities all in accordance with the high industry standards and within manufacturing timescales.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure cleanliness of machine and machine components by making use of hose, air guns, IPA, cloths, vacuum and other appliances
• Disassemble machines and take off parts for replacement or repair by using chain falls, hand tools and jacks
• Examine or carry out tasks on broken machine parts and identify defective parts or give recommendations to supervisors on repair requirements
• Replace, fix or realign machine parts and accessories in line with production specifications
• Application of adhesives, lubricants or other materials to machines or their parts as well as other equipment in accordance with stated procedures
• Put machine parts together after accomplishing maintenance and repair work
• Take off hardened material from machines or machine parts by utilizing power and hand tools jack and sledge hammer, abrasive and other appliances
• Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS
• Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• +3 years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
• Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance process
• Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
• Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
• Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
• Ability to handle basic tools
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance
• Strong knowledge of safety precautions
• Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.
• Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
• Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
