Job summary

ICC seeks a Manufacturing Equipment Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve production equipment in a low-volume, semi- automated assembly line. You will support preventive maintenance, changeovers, and basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting while collaborating with Engineering to minimize downtime.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 3+ years in manufacturing, and PLC/fixture experience; CAD skills (AutoCAD/ProE) and AS9100/ISO9001 exposure are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical training preferred.
• 2-3 years hands-on tooling and fixture experience.
• 2-3 years PLC programming or similar controllers.
• Familiar with CAD tools: AutoCAD or ProE.
• Interconnects, fiber optics, and cable harness experience a plus.
• Aerospace/defense experience a plus; AS9100D/ISO9001 experience a plus.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• U.S. Person for ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to support production activities and equipment.
• Evaluate, test, validate and implement new tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
• Manage Preventative Maintenance programs and spare parts; perform PM activities.
• Troubleshoot production equipment and determine root causes; support downtime reduction.
• Support lean manufacturing, 5S and standard work in the work cell.
• Utilize measurement tools to verify fixture and part dimensions.
• Pursue continuous improvement and process optimization.

JOB SUMMARY

The Manufacturing Equipment Technician supports a low-volume, semi-automated light assembly operation by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving production equipment and fixtures. Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance, setup and changeover, basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, calibration and documentation support, and coordination with production and engineering to minimize downtime. The role also supports continuous improvement, safety, and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations in support of production activities and equipment.
• Partner with Engineering to evaluate, test, validate and implement new production assembly tooling, fixtures, and automated equipment.
• Maintain spares parts lists and manage Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs, while also performing required PM activities.
• Supports daily production, test & troubleshoot equipment issues, determine root cause. For component supplier related root causes, provide supporting information relative to out-of-spec conditions.
• Achieve targets set forth for improvements in process cycle time, yield, efficiency, productivity to achieve business goals.
• Supports and drive lean manufacturing, waste elimination, standard work, and work cell concepts.
• Utilizes optical comparator to measure and verify fixture, tooling and component dimensions.
• Pursues continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
• Adheres to the principles of "5S" to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Participate in company sponsored training and process improvement activities.
• Comply with all ICC Policies and all applicable elements of ICC Quality Management System.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma required.
• 2+ yr Technical or Trade school in engineering or equipment technology preferred
• 3+ yrs. industry experience supporting volume manufacturing

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent comprehension of engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures
• 2-3 years hands-on manufacturing tooling and fixture experience required
• 2-3 years PLC programming (or similar electronic equipment controller programming) required
• Interconnect, fiber optics and cable/harness assembly experience a plus.
• Aerospace & defense experience a plus.
• AS9100D/ISO9001 experience a plus.
• Proficient in 2D & 3D CAD -- AutoCAD, ProE preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
