Job summary

Sanmina Corporation in Texas is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician (1st Shift) to maintain, repair and improve machinery across the factory floor. The role emphasizes automation and the ability to detect and fix issues before they become problems.

You will work with SMT and robotic assembly equipment, service conveyors and soldering robotics, and create preventive maintenance procedures while collaborating with production staff.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• 2–4 years of related experience required.
• Experience working with SMT and robotic assembly equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts
• Performs all repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical parts for SMT and other Robotic assembly equipment
• Repairs all support equipment including conveyors and soldering robotics
• Troubleshoots issues in work cells containing as many as 5 integrated machines
• Created spare parts lists and preventive maintenance procedures
• Performs preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Performs general building maintenance and other duties as assigned

Job Purpose

Primary purpose of this job is to maintain, repair and improve machinery throughout the factory. Successful applicant will have a strong skill set in automation. Must have the ability to detect minor problems, correct them or eliminate them before they become major issues.
