Job summary

Wisconsin Packaging is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician in Fort Atkinson, WI. You will troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, perform preventive maintenance, read schematics, and support 5S and safety initiatives in a fast-paced packaging environment.

Responsibilities include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work, plus building maintenance and collaboration with production. A strong safety mindset and independent work style are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related technical experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment per programs and procedures.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and parts lists.
• Inspect machinery and facilities to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain and improve corrugated converting equipment for reliability.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fabrication work as needed.
• Operate cutting torches, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools.
• Repair and maintain building structures and systems.
• Support continuous improvement to enhance equipment performance, reliability, and safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S.
• Follow all LOTO procedures and safety standards.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to meet goals.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
