Job summary

Wolfspeed in Durham, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician who will startup, modify, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain production and R&D systems in a fast-paced semiconductors setting.

You will work with process engineering, perform preventive maintenance, operate CMMS, handle gases and chemicals, and contribute to safety and reliability while on 12-hour shifts. Associates degree in EE or military equivalent and 2+ years CMP experience are required.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in EE or military equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years CMP experience on the Applied Materials Mirra platform.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in semiconductors.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand 8+ hours, and work 12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Start up, modify, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain production and R&D equipment.
• Perform preventative and routine maintenance, calibration and service.
• Use CMMS for inventory control and work scheduling.
• Handle gases and chemicals and follow escalation procedures.

This role will interact directly with process engineering and other groups to meet department and Wolfspeed goals. Successful candidates will have a strong team mentality and strong communication skills. Candidates working in this area must exhibit and mandate safe working practices.
