Job summary

AGI is seeking a Manufacturing Equipment Engineer in Clay Center, KS to design and optimize fabrication equipment and manufacturing processes. You will lead projects from concept through production, working with production, quality, supply chain, and service teams to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.

The role requires CAD proficiency and experience in welding, machining, and assembly processes, with strong analysis and project management

Qualifications

• Bachelors in mechanical/industrial engineering required or equivalent.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Experience designing fabrication equipment and manufacturing processes.
• Lean Six Sigma or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Experience with ERP, MES or PLM systems preferred.
• Strong CAD proficiency and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop fabrication equipment, components, and systems using CAD software.
• Create and maintain drawings, BOMs, and technical docs.
• Evaluate existing products and processes for performance and cost improvements.
• Lead product development from concept to production launch.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize methods and tooling.
• Perform structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and material analyses.
• Support troubleshooting and field data analysis for reliability.
