Job summary

Commercial Sewing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support product development, manufacturing operations, and continuous improvement across our organization in Torrington, CT. This role balances design work with hands-on problem solving on the production floor to improve quality, efficiency, and performance.

You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to production, create drawings and specs in SolidWorks, troubleshoot issues,

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing, engineering, or product development experience.
• Strong SolidWorks or comparable CAD software experience.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with fabrication, machining, tooling, fixture design, or manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and revise part, assembly, tooling, and fixture models using SolidWorks.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Support product development projects from concept through production launch.
• Assist with prototype development, testing, and validation activities.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing, product, and process-related issues.
