Caterpillar Remanufacturing in Corinth, MS is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III / Maintenance to support camera systems across the MS Reman Campus. You will own the technical resources for security and industrial cameras, coordinating with IT and operations to ensure reliability and security.

Typical duties include lifecycle management, configuration, testing, and cross-training to enhance flexibility within the operations team. First shift, on-site role in Corinth, MS.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a Caterpillar Remanufacturing facility or equivalent degree.
  • Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, PFMEAs.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage lifecycle of camera systems from spec to replacement.
  • Configure IP cameras, switches, and network devices.
  • Work with IT and cybersecurity for secure integration.
  • Document configurations, diagrams, and inventories.
  • Provide technical support for outages and root-cause analysis.
  • Lead testing and acceptance for installations and upgrades.

Our Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician III / Maintenance position located in the Corinth, MS facility.


This position will ensure production Value Stream goals are met in PQVC by providing support for the Facility Maintenance Team in the execution of project implementation and daily support of the Operations team as warranted. This position will serve as the primary owner and technical resource for all security and industrial camera systems across the MS Reman Campus.



Job responsibilities to include but not limited to:


  • Operator should have attention to detail and be self-motivated.

  • Operator will work in a team environment.

  • Operator is expected to cross train in other areas of operations to provide flexibility within the job classification scope.

  • Manage the full lifecycle of camera systems including specification development, RFQs, procurement, installation, configuration, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and replacement.

  • Perform camera and network device configuration including IP address assignment, network connectivity validation, device enrollment, firmware updates, and system commissioning.

  • Work with Corporate IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure cameras are properly integrated into the company network infrastructure, comply with security standards, and are deployed within approved firewall and network security architecture.

  • Configure and troubleshoot IP-based camera communications, network switches, ports, VLANs, and related infrastructure required for camera operation.

  • Maintain documentation for camera inventories, network configurations, system diagrams, asset records, and troubleshooting procedures.

  • Provide technical support for camera system outages, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system reliability.

  • Lead testing and acceptance activities for newly installed camera systems and upgrades.



Basic Qualifications:


  • 5+ years in a Caterpillar Remanufacturing facility OR an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a maintenance, electronics or IT position.

  • Experience with process flow diagrams, control plans, and PFMEAs

  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving problems, recognizing the need for support and creating teams to accomplish tasks, if necessary.

  • High proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft office applications



Top Candidates Will Also Have:


  • Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree in a IT or manufacturing related field

  • 2+ years of experience working with computer systems, network tech support or software development.

  • Working knowledge of EPIX/PRWB

  • Working knowledge of purchasing systems (NextGen / Guided Buy)

  • Experience with capital project execution and implementation

  • Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, Creo, etc.)

  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills

  • High degree of accountability for product and processes



Physical Requirements:


  • Working at Heights

  • Ability to safely work at heights from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) for extended periods.

  • Climbing and Accessing Equipment

  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, catwalks, mezzanines, and industrial platforms while carrying tools and equipment.

  • Overhead Work

  • Ability to perform overhead work, including installation and routing of cabling, conduit, cameras, and associated equipment.

  • Manual Dexterity

  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, computers, mobile devices, and electronic diagnostic instruments with precision.

  • Confined and Restricted Access Areas

  • Ability to safely access and work in ceilings, utility spaces, equipment rooms, and other restricted-access areas as required.

  • Environmental Conditions

  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures, weather conditions, dust, noise, and manufacturing environments.

  • Color Vision

  • Ability to distinguish wire colors, indicator lights, and visual status indicators necessary for electrical, electronic, and network troubleshooting.

  • Travel Across Campus

  • Ability to walk extensively throughout the MS Reman Campus and respond to service calls at multiple facilities.



Job Bid Eligibility Requirements:


  • Any current agency workers applying to this position must have worked the required 300 hours in order to be considered as well as meeting all requirements for the position.

Compensation & Benefits Offered!


Starting hourly pay rate of $28.60 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)


This position is 1st shift.


Work Hours: 7am-3pm (Monday - Friday)


40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime


80 hours of vacation with an additional 3 days (hours dependent on work schedule) of Paid Time Off (PTO) (all prorated based on hire date)


10 Paid holidays


Climate controlled work environment – most areas


100% 401k match up to 6% offered on day 1 of employment

Summary Pay Range:

$28.60 - $37.20
