Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing engineering team, drive process improvements, and support new product introductions for precision components.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on involvement in process development, tooling, work instructions, and day-to-day production problem resolution. Strong focus on quality, throughput, and team development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering supporting precision manufacturing or engineered assembly operations.
• Experience supervising technical personnel or leading projects and cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of process development, tooling, work instructions, engineering drawings, and structured problem solving.
• Ability to balance immediate production support with long-term improvement projects and employee development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise manufacturing engineering workload to support production and new product intro.
• Develop and improve methods, routings, assembly processes, tooling, and fixtures.
• Lead transition of new/revised products into repeatable production with proper docs and training.
• Provide technical support for production problems and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Identify improvements in cycle time, labor utilization, yield, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate with design to review manufacturability and resolve constraints prior to release.
• Support equipment selection, capital justification, installation, and process validation.
• Coach engineers and technicians and maintain process documentation and quality practices.
