Summary of Work Performed:

Under the supervision of a manager or an employee of equal or higher rank, the Manufacturing Engineering Resource Programmer III is responsible for designing manufacturing resources, including:

• Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) NC programs
• Manufacturing Computer Aided Design (MCAD) tools/fixtures
• Loft patterns and operational models with associated 2D drawings

Must have knowledge of shop production and processing operations. Work aligns with management strategies, departmental processes, and Bell Business Systems. May train employees.

Work Performed:

1. Analyze engineering drawings, models, bills of materials, technical specifications, quality documents, Bell Process Framework, and departmental procedures.
2. Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning.
3. Support manufacturing operations with process liaison support when MCAD models and drawings exist.
4. Develop, create, and maintain tooling/fixture definitions for all media types, including MCAD and legacy manual designs.
5. Create and maintain CAM programs and operator instructions for NC equipment, including loft MCAD models and digital tooling programs.
6. Possess knowledge of NC programming, lofting, engineering, tool design, manufacturing, and planning processes.
7. Apply GD&T and aerospace tolerances, supporting producibility assessments.
8. Maintain records and schedules of assigned work.
9. Meet cost, schedule, and quality standards to ensure market competitiveness.
10. Provide technical support to procurement and suppliers as needed.
11. Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
12. Utilize aircraft manufacturing knowledge to train, direct, instruct, and validate production engineering work.

Requirements:

• Two years of college education or three years of aircraft industry experience, or completion of a Bell apprentice program.
• Demonstrated ability to apply GD&T and aerospace tolerances.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Use of ITAR-controlled information; U.S. persons only.
