Job summary

RTX's Rockford, IL area is seeking a co-op student in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing disciplines to support tooling design and manufacturing improvements. You will work with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, and Teamcenter, contribute to 3D-printed fixtures, and help revise work instructions.

What You Will Do:

• Assist and create tooling and fixturing designs by use of SolidWorks, Teamcenter, NX, and AutoCAD.

What You Will Learn:

• Develop key management and team skills with ownership over daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
• How to perform industrial engineering evaluations of production standards.
• Directly work with the Quality engineers, Supply Chain Managers, Design Engineering, Industrial Engineers, Value Stream leadership, and Plant Operations.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Actively pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Operations, Aerospace or an applicable discipline through the duration of the co-op session.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with modeling software (i.e., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX).

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
