We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations at one of our Ohio manufacturing facilities. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who enjoys developing talent, driving operational excellence, and partnering across teams to deliver innovative manufacturing solutions.
As Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting plant operations, leading engineering initiatives, driving continuous improvement, and helping bring new programs from concept to production. You'll work closely with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, program management, and customer teams to create safe, efficient, and high-performing processes.
Lead & Develop
- Inspire, coach, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.

Drive Operational Excellence
- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes for new and existing programs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, cost, and efficiency.
- Ensure engineering processes support operational goals and customer expectations.
- Develop and maintain capacity planning studies to support business growth and customer demand.
Support Program Launches & Engineering Projects
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support successful product launches and program execution.
- Review manufacturing feasibility and provide engineering expertise throughout project development.
- Manage engineering change processes, including documentation, approvals, and implementation.
- Oversee capital projects from planning through execution, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking expenditures.
Ensure Safe & Reliable Operations
- Champion safety and ergonomics in all engineering activities.
- Support maintenance and operational reliability of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Ensure technical support is available to manufacturing teams and that equipment, tooling, and processes meet operational requirements.
- Partner with contractors and external suppliers to ensure compliance with site safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five or more years of engineering leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within automotive manufacturing or a Tier 1 supplier environment.
- Experience leading capital projects, manufacturing launches, or process improvement initiatives.
- Proven success working in cross-functional environments and leading through change.
