Job summary

Actalent is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager in Saint Paul, MN, to lead a team of engineers and own large cross-functional projects focused on improving manufacturability, quality, flow, validation, supplier performance, and cost. The role demands strong experience in medical device production, disciplined execution, and driving Lean operational excellence in a regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing/engineering experience with increasing scope and impact.
• 5+ years in a management/leadership role.
• Structured project management experience across multiple initiatives.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or other operational excellence experience.
• Experience in regulated medical device environment and validation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team; set priorities and drive accountability.
• Manage a portfolio of projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and scalability.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma and problem-solving initiatives to reduce waste and defects.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for reliable production and transfer.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D on cross-functional improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality systems, validation standards, and regulatory requirements.
