MDS Staffing seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor for a manufacturer of temperature sensors, fittings, and assemblies. This role combines team leadership with hands-on process development, tooling, and work instruction creation to improve production readiness and quality.

You will supervise engineers and technicians, drive manufacturability reviews, and coordinate improvements across cycle time, yield, scrap, and rework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering.
• Experience supervising technical personnel or leading projects.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering for precision or engineered assembly ops.
• Knowledge of process development, tooling, work instructions, drawings, and problem solving.

Responsabilités

• Prioritize and coordinate the engineering team's workload to support production and NPI.
• Develop and improve manufacturing methods, routings, standard work, tooling, and fixtures.
• Lead transition of new/revised products into repeatable production with docs and training.
• Provide technical support for production problems and coordinate root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Identify and implement improvements in cycle time, labor utilization, first-pass yield, scrap, and rework.
• Collaborate with design engineering to review manufacturability before product release.
• Support equipment selection, capital project justification, installation, and process validation.
• Coach engineers and technicians, maintain process docs, and enforce safety and quality.
