Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for 12+ weeks at our Wallops Island, VA site. You will support developing processes and equipment for the Neutron launch vehicle and work closely with the Vehicle Integration Engineer to ensure smooth integration, testing and launch operations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace environment, attend mentorship sessions, and participate in intern events while contributing to real hardware development.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in an engineering, physics or math discipline and have at least one semester of school remaining post internship
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• 3+ months of applied engineering experience (internship, laboratory, and personal/team project experience is applicable)
• Basic coding proficiency (Python, SQL, or automation scripting)

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern based at Rocket Lab’s site in Wallops Island, Virginia, you will have the opportunity to support the developing processes, as well as identifying and design build of necessary equipment for receipt and final integration and launch of the Neutron Launch Vehicle.You’ll work closely the Neutron Vehicle Integration Engineer and other key team members who are responsible for the integration, test and launch of the Neutron launch vehicle.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to work full-time, on-site for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning January, February, or March 2027

Pay Range: $25.00 USD Hourly

You may be eligible for a stipend to subsidize relocation costs
