Thermo Fisher Scientific offers a Summer Undergraduate Internship in New York with 10-week projects that provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations. Selected interns gain exposure to process qualification, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives within a global science company.

Summer interns may start May 24, 2027 or June 14, 2027; onsite work is required. Eligible interns receive an hourly rate between $18.50 and $28.75, plus a potential $5,000 relocation

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technical field between Dec 2027 – Jun 2028.
• Prior internships or work experience totaling 1+ year(s) required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing operations, troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
• Assist with equipment and process qualification activities, including data collection and evaluation of results.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Assist with development/improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, and work instructions.
• Support engineering change control activities and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
