Westinghouse Electric Co in Newington, NH seeks a Summer Intern - Manufacturing Engineering for May–August 2027. This paid full-time onsite internship collaborates with cross-functional teams to support fabrication, machining and inspection activities at our Newington facility.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll gain hands-on experience with manufacturing processes, GD&T, fixture design, and on-the-floor technical support to resolve production issues.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related engineering field.
• Completed Sophomore year of college.
• Interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with CNC machining processes, welding, dimensional inspection, and NDE processes.

Responsabilités

• Interpret purchase orders, specifications, and engineering drawings to define manufacturing processes.
• Prepare shop travelers to guide fabrication, machining, and inspection operations.
• Partner with operations teams on fixture design and process optimization.
• Provide on-the-floor technical support to operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
