Job summary

JTEKT North America in Cairo, GA seeks an Engineering Intern to assist the Engineering Supervisor on process improvement projects. You will present results to the Cairo leadership team after the assignment, and collaborate with multiple departments to support manufacturing improvements.

The role requires familiarity with Windows, MS Office, Creo, and AutoCAD, and an ability to apply engineering concepts to manufacturing settings.

Qualifications

• Enrolled college student or recent graduate in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Proficient with Windows OS and MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Capable of applying engineering concepts to manufacturing scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Assist Engineering Supervisor with special projects for process improvement.
• Present project results to Cairo leadership after assignment.
• Support engineers in solving manufacturing problems for new or existing products.
• Design and develop tooling, mechanisms, and equipment for metalworking.
• Create/modify database records and support Lean initiatives.
